Grand Aston Bali Beach Resort was awarded recently in the Tri Hita Karana (THK) Tourism Awards 2015 in recognition of its significant achievements in incorporating sustainable spiritual, social and environmental principles and practices into tourism business. The awards consist categories of Platinum, Emerald, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
Grand Aston Bali Beach Resort as 5-Star Hotel in Bali, proud to be receiving this award for the first time, an outstanding addition to its growing number of accolades. Its attainment of Gold status is testament to the hotel’s commitment towards the environment, especially its support of the local Tanjung Benoa Village and CSR in partnership with Yayasan Solemen Indonesia.
Tri Hita Karana Awards were initiated since 2000 and endorsed by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) since 2004. The name is derived from the Hindu philosophy of ‘Tri Hita Karana’, a fundamental concept in the Balinese community where balance in life is maintained through the harmonious relationship between man and God, man and fellow man, and man and the environment. This philosophy is reflected through the Community and Social Responsibility (CSR) programme on Grand Aston Bali Beach Resort.
Raffaele Solferino, General Manager of Grand Aston Bali Beach Resort said, “We are more than thrilled to receive this award in recognition of our team’s efforts. It is an amazing testament to our management’s commitment in support of sustainable tourism.”
